Most Ghanaians live along the coast and in the major cities of Accra and Kumasi. In Ghana, there are many different peoples. The many different groups also each have their own language. In Ghana, more than 50 different languages are spoken. People live life outside. The sun and the heat mean a lot in the everyday life of the Ghanaians. They seek in the shade, towards the beach and the cold drinks when the heath peaks in the middle of the day. Peanut soup and bananas Food is important when people meet each other. A popular dish is fufu with peanut soup. Fufu consists of banana and cassava. Pisang is a kind of banana that is cooked, and cassava is a plant with tuberous roots that is grown in many tropical countries. The peanut soup is a mixture of peanut paste, meat or fish, onions, peppers and spices. And then the dish is spiced with lots of chili. Ghanaians usually eat with their fingers. In 1957, Ghana became an independent country. It was one of the first countries in Africa to stop being a colony. Until 1957, Ghana was a British colony. Today, there is political stability in Ghana and tourism is growing. Ghana is also one of the countries in the world that makes the most cocoa. Cocoa is used to make chocolate. The cocoa is sold to other countries.
The project "The Voice Of Ghana" is an initiative that exists to create better living conditions for Ghana's children. There are an incredible number of vulnerable children who live in very poor conditions, without having the opportunity to obtain any help. Our initiative is to make the big problem visible to as many people as possible, so that more of us together can ensure better conditions for the children as well as all the other inhabitants.
